John Cusack said that "Democracy is participation." From that I surmised that participation doesn't mean that you go down to your local ward office every day, or become a community activist. In a democracy everybody participates, whether they are aware of it or not. We all pay taxes, our own financial well-being is intrinsically linked to that of our nation, and as our country finds itself in troubled waters so do we.
Ginsberg wrote about having only $2.27 cents on January 17, 1956.
I've given my Citizens that amount for 2008.
Democracy is participation: If all you have is change... and all you want is Change... then you have to vote.

All the top films in this contest have been flagged. Right now there happens to be a friggin' WITCH HUNT going on. But each and every one of the films in this contest deserve to be here, and the voting clearly demonstrates how strong a support system the individual film makers have.
It's kind of sad that directors with only ten or twenty votes can't FATHOM how anybody could have over a hundred... but it's also encouraging to see so many people spreading their film's messages, getting the word out about this contest (hence the other films as well), and getting their friends, family, and associates to vote.
If as many people can be persuaded to vote this November, there may be a chance for this country yet...
Pagerank is NOT a hit counter, it only counts the number of links linking to it. I agree, considering that the point of the contest was to get votes, it would be unfair to use a tool that measures how many links to judge it now. its like comparing apples with ants!
This film is real: it brought Google PageRank alive a little bit (for 20 days). Not much, but better than nothing - scale turned white and it is good sign, the sign of growing popularity. Visitors coming...
There are several more sites like that.
Fantastic!!! A true work of art!!! This video accurately depicts what many Americans are experiencing in today's economy. Those who once walked pass a penny on the ground are now taking the time to bend and pick them up. Many of us who once threw change in a jar because we considered it a nuisance to carry the heavy weight of the coins around are now counting that change at the counters of grocery stories to pay for food and gas stations so that we can get a little bit of gas to get to our next desination. Here in Connecticut, where I live, "two dollars and twenty-seven cents" is my plight. It gets me a half a gallon of gas so that I can get close enough to my job to walk the rest of the way on pay day. Change is all that I have most of the time. Real change is what we need in the White House RIGHT NOW!!!
Can I get that time back, please? It's a shame Two Dollars and Twenty-Seven Cents couldn't buy you a clue! I lost brain cells trying to figure this video out.
I am at a loss for words.
Sure thing - The song is Goin' To Acapulco by Jim James (of My Morning Jacket) & Calexico. It's a cover of a Bob Dylan song of the same name. It's from the "I'm Not There Soundtrack." Feel free to pick it up from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Im-Not-There-Original-Soundtrack/dp/B000VS6P9Q or wherever CDs are sold.
Excellent! Top notch. Nice production values, thought-provoking, and sincere. Script is great, acting is subtle and genuine. Scoring is especially terrific. Bruce
